The Excise Department made a significant breakthrough on Friday by confiscating a large amount of drugs intended for illegal sale. The drugs were seized from a 32-year-old man during an inspection in Pala.
Following a tip-off, officials retrieved 300 packets of a specific injection from Jithin Jose, a resident of Ullanadu, on Thursday evening. This injection is typically prescribed for controlling blood pressure in cancer patients.
However, Jose acquired these injections via courier for illegal distribution in and around Pala. Already tied to three previous narcotic cases, Jithin is now under investigation as the Excise Department delves deeper into the incident.
