In a dramatic session at the Gujarat state assembly, Congress MLA Vimal Chudasama was evicted for protesting the BJP government's alleged inaction against illegal mining in Chorwad, Junagadh district.
Chudasama, representing the Somnath seat, charged into the well of the House, displaying a poster critical of the government's handling of the illegal mining issue, prompting Speaker Shankar Chaudhary to order his eviction for breaking assembly protocols.
The legislator, who has provided what he claims is proof of illegal limestone mining activities and criticized the government's failure to act against so-called 'mining mafias', insists that officials are either scared of or protecting these elements.
