Tragedy Unfolds: Husband Named Main Suspect in Gruesome Suitcase Murder

The husband of a 32-year-old woman, whose body was discovered in a suitcase in the city, is identified as the primary suspect in the case. Currently, he is receiving treatment in Pune following an alleged suicide attempt, according to police sources on Friday.
The deceased, identified as Gauri Khedekar, was found on Thursday with severe injuries, her remains concealed within a suitcase. Originally from Maharashtra, her husband, Rakesh Rajendra Khedekar, is accused of fleeing to Pune post-crime and allegedly attempting suicide by consuming poison.
City Police Commissioner B Dayananda noted that a case has been registered. Detained in connection with the murder, Rakesh's condition is being monitored in a Pune hospital. Upon recovery, he'll be transferred to Bengaluru for interrogation. Initial investigations suggest the murder might be linked to a marital dispute.
