Duo Arrested in Major Visa Scam: College Professor and Sports Teacher Behind Bars
Two men, including a college professor and a sports teacher, have been arrested for duping several individuals of over one crore rupees by falsely promising visas to Australia. Two men have been apprehended on allegations of defrauding individuals of more than one crore rupees, claiming they could secure visas to Australia. The police confirmed the arrests on Thursday.
The suspects, identified as college professor Thomas N Isaac, 51, and sports teacher Pradeep Kumar, 42, were detained following a complaint lodged by a resident of Kothamangalam. Authorities stated that Isaac worked at a college in Muvattupuzha, while Kumar was employed in Tamil Nadu.
Kumar was captured in Trichy after being on the run. Similar charges have been filed against both individuals at police stations in Kaliyar and Thodupuzha. District Police Chief Vaibhav Saxena supervised the investigations, with further inquiries underway.
