The former Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Vikram Srivastava, passed away on Thursday at the age of 73 following a brief illness, officials reported.
Srivastava, a remarkable figure in law enforcement, served in various key positions, including headships at the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD), before retiring in 2012. His tenure included leadership during the devastating 2010 Naxal ambush in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada.
