Kashmir is bracing for enhanced security measures ahead of its major upcoming events. On Thursday, Police chief V K Birdi reviewed arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitr and the annual Amarnath Yatra.
Birdi, the Inspector General of Police for Kashmir Zone, chaired a crucial meeting at the PCR Kashmir. This gathering included senior officers from J-K Police, intelligence services, and various other security bodies.
With public safety a top priority, discussions focused on crowd management and maintaining order, especially as Eid attracts significant night prayer gatherings. Birdi emphasized ensuring safe, smoothly conducted festivities throughout the Kashmir valley.
