Karnataka politics is in turmoil as cooperation minister K N Rajanna's son, Congress MLC K N Rajendra, disclosed a CID probe into an alleged 'honeytrap' attempt targeting his father. The CID has visited Rajanna's official residence, initiating a preliminary inquiry, as confirmed by Rajendra.
In a more personal revelation, Rajendra also claimed an unsuccessful plot to murder him on November 15, linked to a supari contract scheme intended to attack him. He has shared a damning voice recording with officials, discussing a large monetary transaction possibly connected to the plot.
Authorities, including DGP Alok Mohan and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, have been briefed on both matters. A comprehensive legal examination is promised by State Home Minister G Parameshwara before actions proceed. Rajendra is expected to follow up with formal complaints to local law enforcement soon.
