Authorities have dismissed a Delhi Police sub-inspector following allegations of his substantial involvement in a drug syndicate, according to sources. Naresh Kumar, previously stationed with the Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Cell, is accused of orchestrating the drug operation.
Sources indicate that the dismissal came after Kumar had been successfully evading arrest for more than a year. His termination was finalized on March 20, marking the end of an extensive investigation into his activities.
Kumar is alleged to have sourced marijuana from Odisha and the northeastern regions, storing the supply in two Delhi residences. The insights surfaced during the interrogation of Surojit, a detained gang member, who identified Kumar as the operation's key planner.
