A 23-year-old youth, Vishal Kumar, from Delhi's Uttam Nagar, who had been missing for over a month, has been declared as having been killed by two friends, officials reported on Thursday. The tragic conclusion follows an intense police investigation.
Police revealed that Raja Kumar Mehto, 31, and Praveen Kumar, 40, allegedly murdered Vishal on February 21 in Nawada, driven by an old dispute. The crime was uncovered after Vishal's mother reported him missing on February 28, prompting authorities to gather local information and eventually file a case on March 19.
After rigorous investigation and examining CCTV footage, multiple police teams identified and apprehended the suspects. Initially denying involvement, Raja and Praveen later confessed, leading police to the crime scene where Vishal's body was discovered. The suspects divulged that a drug-sharing invite was used as a lure, culminating in the fatal stabbing of Vishal.
