In a significant security lapse, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa has reportedly been threatened with his life by individuals allegedly communicating from within the Jaipur Central Jail. Authorities have moved swiftly, detaining three suspects linked to the incident, a police official confirmed.

The origins of the threatening call were traced to a mobile phone inside the jail, shedding light on how such devices and SIM cards are infiltrating the facility, despite existing controls. This was stated by DGP Utkal Ranjan Sahoo, who cited 'deficiency in the system at the lower level' as a contributing factor to the issue.

In response to the breach, DGP Sahoo announced plans to install a high-tech jammer system intended to block unauthorized calls within the jail. Meanwhile, Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph detailed the police's response, noting the call was received by the control room on Wednesday evening. An intensive search commenced, leading to the detention of the accused individuals.
