In a move to enhance public grievance redressal, the Centre has integrated its online portal, CPGRAMS, with Common Service Centres (CSCs) nationwide, as announced by Union Minister Jitendra Singh. This initiative intends to empower rural populations in registering complaints effectively.
The Minister disclosed in a Rajya Sabha session that as of March 2025, 4.91 lakh grievances have been lodged through these CSCs. The CPGRAMS platform, operational 24/7, facilitates the lodging of grievances regarding public service delivery and is extensively linked with various government departments.
Citizens can trace their grievances, appeal decisions, and even provide feedback, ensuring a systemic approach to addressing complaints. A monthly ‘CSC-CPGRAMS Day’ is observed to enhance outreach, and dissemination efforts involve national media outlets. Since 2019, significant reforms have cut average resolution times from 28 to 13 days, demonstrating efficient grievance redressal.
