The two-pronged assault began late Monday at an army base in Wajiroko, where militants set military equipment ablaze and killed at least four soldiers, among them the brigade commander.
Hours later, militants targeted another military outpost in Wulgo, near Cameroon, resulting in 11 Cameroonian casualties. The attacks highlight the persistent threat posed by Islamist factions in Nigeria, with operations increasingly aggressive despite ongoing military pressure.
