Consultant Kidnapped and Assaulted: Arrests Made in Itanagar
Two individuals in Itanagar were arrested for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a consultant working with the state's skill development department. A female accomplice, yet to be apprehended, aided them. Police have recovered the victim's phone and important documents.

In a disturbing incident in Itanagar, police have apprehended two individuals accused of kidnapping and assaulting a consultant associated with the state's skill development and entrepreneurship department. The incident unfolded on March 22 near Ziro Point, where the consultant was intercepted by the accused from Kamle district.
According to Capital Superintendent of Police Rohit Rajbir Singh, the consultant was returning from the civil secretariat when he was forcibly abducted. The accused not only verbally abused and physically assaulted him but also damaged his belongings and scrutinized his identity and financial documents in a bid to extort money.
Upon failing to find cash, they resorted to stealing his mobile phone, eventually dumping him out of their moving vehicle at the Tigdo check gate. Prompt police response led to the arrest of the accused and recovery of the victim's phone and documents. Meanwhile, a woman accomplice has been legally notified to cooperate with the investigation.
