Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has announced that a series of CBI raids in the state are aimed at unraveling a scheme to entice young people into betting via a mobile application. His comments followed coordinated searches by the central agency at locations tied to former CM Bhupesh Baghel, a group of officers, and several associates.

According to Sai, the crackdown targets the Mahadev Betting App scheme, notorious for its role in compromising the future of local youth. "This matter goes beyond national borders, with some accused still at large internationally," he stated.

The state government handed the investigation over to the CBI following public complaints. On Wednesday, the agency executed raids on Baghel's residences and those of high-ranking officials linked to a multi-crore scam, bringing a high-stakes financial scandal to light.
