Nikam, appearing for the first time since his appointment, detailed the criminal conspiracy behind Deshmukh's brutal murder. Deshmukh, who was tortured and killed on December 9 last year, was allegedly targeted for preventing an extortion attempt aimed at an energy company.

With eight arrests made under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, the court prepares for a comprehensive hearing on April 10 with critical evidence, including audio recordings being submitted.
