Outrage Over High Court Judge's Controversial Remarks

A BJP MP on Wednesday demanded action against an Allahabad High Court judge who stated in an order that actions like grabbing breasts and pulling pyjama strings do not constitute rape. The remarks, made during a rape case hearing, have stirred outrage and have been called undignified and disturbing.

Speaking in the Lok Sabha during Zero Hour, BJP member Mukesh Rajput criticized the remarks, emphasizing their regrettability coming from a person in a position of power. He highlighted the dismay caused among the public and the impact on the dignity of women, labeling the comments as condemnable.

The Supreme Court has since stayed the judge's observations, describing them as insensitive and inhuman. Rajput urged immediate action and an apology, noting the constitutional responsibility to address these concerns.
