In a significant crackdown, Bihar Police have apprehended five individuals associated with the outlawed Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP) in the Aurangabad district on Tuesday.
The operation led to the seizure of an arsenal, including rifles, cartridges, a walkie-talkie, and camouflage uniforms. The arrests were part of ongoing efforts to tackle Naxal activities in the region.
The suspects were linked to a March 8 extortion attempt in Nabinagar, where they allegedly posed as police to extract money from a private company. Among those detained, notorious figures Krishna Pal and Naresh Ram have histories of criminal activities in the district.
