An operation to curb illegal immigration saw three Bangladeshi nationals apprehended in Assam's Sribhumi district, Tuesday. They were swiftly deported, according to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Through a statement on social media platform X, CM Sarma commended the Sribhumi Police's diligence in cracking down on infiltration. He highlighted that this action aligns with a broader effort, already seeing 320 infiltrators deported in the past seven months, underscoring the state's unwavering dedication to an infiltration-free Assam.

Border patrol has escalated, as the Border Security Force (BSF) intensifies surveillance across the extensive 1,885-km stretch of the India-Bangladesh border. Concurrently, the Assam Police remains vigilant, maintaining stringent checks to thwart illegal entry into the state.
