ESIC Expands Coverage in Uttar Pradesh: 15 Districts Added

The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has broadened its reach in Uttar Pradesh by incorporating 15 more districts into the ESI Scheme, according to an official statement released on Tuesday.
With this expansion, 74 out of the 75 districts in the state are now comprehensively covered, benefiting approximately 30.08 lakh insured persons and 1.16 crore beneficiaries, as announced by the Union Minister of Labour & Employment, Mansukh Mandaviya.
The additional districts, which include Ambedkar Nagar, Auraiya, and others, welcome 53,987 new insured individuals to the ESIC framework. This expansion is part of the government's ongoing efforts to enhance social security for every eligible worker and ensure no one is left out of this essential safety net.
