Massive Drug Bust in Agra: Smuggler Nabbed with Rs 3 Crore Worth Heroin

A high-stakes operation led by the Agra-based Anti-Narcotics Task Force on Tuesday resulted in the arrest of a prolific drug smuggler, disrupting a significant drug operation. The task force seized heroin and smack valued at approximately Rs 3 crore following a tip-off about a planned transaction.
Superintendent of Police (City) Dr Arvind Kumar revealed that the arrested individual, Mohammad Gayas Ansari, hailing from Daulatpur village in Bihar's Jamui district, was caught attempting to traffic a considerable quantity of illegal narcotics from Mathura. The confiscated contraband included 1.62 kg of heroin and 469 grams of smack.
Kumar added that Ansari intended to distribute the drugs in Mathura before making his way to Delhi. The smuggler, with a record of 40 to 50 similar acts, routinely acquired heroin from Bihar for distribution in regions like Delhi, Faridabad, and Rohtak.
