Delhi's Ambitious 2025-26 Budget Unveiled: A Roadmap to Viksit Delhi

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta unveiled Delhi's Rs 1 lakh crore Budget for 2025-26, highlighting ten priority areas, including education, health, and infrastructure development. The budget is described as a blueprint for a "Viksit Delhi," featuring significant investments in areas like Yamuna cleaning and women's empowerment.
The education sector received the highest allocation of Rs 19,291 crore, marking a 19.29% increase, while health and transport sectors were also prioritized. To address Delhi's pollution issues, Rs 300 crore is dedicated to environmental efforts, including the ambitious Yamuna River rejuvenation project.
This budget, the first by a BJP-led government in Delhi in over 26 years, aims to enhance governance through projects like the Integrated Command and Control Center. Gupta's plans span from infrastructure development to cultural initiatives, with a focus on transforming Delhi into a hub for investment and innovation.
