Two men from Uttar Pradesh have been arrested for allegedly opening fire at a Dhaba owner in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, following a botched robbery attempt. The suspects, Mohammad Azmal and Azam, both residents of Muzaffarnagar, were caught on surveillance footage attempting to steal cash.

The incident took place on a Friday night at the eatery. As the Dhaba owner, Pradeep Guleria, prepared a meal, he noticed the duo trying to steal money from the counter. Upon confrontation, the suspects fired at Guleria and escaped with cash and an LED TV.

A Special Investigation Team was deployed, utilizing location footage and crime scene data to identify the perpetrators. The brothers, who were residing in Mandi and working as aluminum fitters, have been detained, and their weapon recovered. Legal proceedings are underway under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Arms Act.
