During a session at the Rajya Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah launched a serious critique of the Congress party's handling of the Prime Minister's Relief Fund, especially highlighting the alleged lack of transparency under the UPA regime.
Shah pointed out that the Congress party president had significant control over the fund, and suggested that funds were inappropriately channeled to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation with support from public sector undertakings.
Conversely, the minister lauded the PM-CARE Fund, established under the NDA government, for its transparent management involving top ministers and secretaries, emphasizing its strategic use in addressing the COVID-19 crisis.
