Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov disclosed that recent talks between U.S. and Russian delegates in Saudi Arabia concentrated on enhancing Black Sea shipping security. Lavrov emphasized the potential for a new agreement, hinging on stringent conditions.

Key among these conditions is the inspection of ships to prevent the misuse of empty vessels for weapons deliveries, a critical concern expressed by Lavrov.

The discussions also addressed longstanding issues surrounding the export of Russian grain and fertilizers, which have posed significant challenges in the past, according to Lavrov.
