Israel Strikes Syrian Military Bases Amid Regional Tensions
The Israeli military attacked two Syrian bases in Homs province, targeting Iranian forces and Hezbollah positions. Intensified actions followed the ousting of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Separate clashes in southern Syria involved Israeli troops and militants. Israel remains vigilant against Islamist militants and seeks to curb Iranian influence in the region.

The Israeli military struck two strategic military bases in central Syria on Tuesday, intensifying its operations against Iranian and Hezbollah-linked sites. The targeted bases, Tadmur and T4 in Homs province, lie on crucial arms shipment routes.
Following the ouster of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on December 8, Israeli forces have ramped up attacks as they navigate significant Middle Eastern power shifts. Tuesday also saw clashes between Israeli troops and militants in southern Syria, with Israeli warplanes reporting direct hits.
No casualties have been immediately reported from Damascus. Meanwhile, Israel closely monitors Islamist factions like Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, emphasizing a demilitarized southern Syria and addressing broader security threats from Iranian presence near Latakia and the Lebanese border.
