In a bold statement, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared a significant transformation in the state's governance, attributing it to the policy shift from 'one district one mafia' to 'one district one medical college'. The move comes as a part of the BJP-led NDA's strategic reversal of the previous administration's policies.
Speaking in Gorakhpur, Adityanath marked eight years of the state's 'Seva, Suraksha, and Sushasan' policy, emphasizing leaps in development since the BJP assumed power in 2017. Highlighting the state's success, he pointed to the increase in self-reliance, women's empowerment, job creation, and the robust execution of development projects.
Pointing to past governance under the Samajwadi Party, Adityanath noted frequent riots and rampant illegal activities. Today, he says, the state's transformation is evident in improved infrastructure, investment allure, and tourism, with Uttar Pradesh now leading in the execution of central schemes, thereby enhancing its profile as an economic powerhouse.
