Police Nab Illegal Liquor Smugglers in River Bust Worth Rs 10 Lakh
Police intercepted a consignment of illegal liquor valued at Rs 10 lakh being smuggled to Bihar via the river. One suspect has been arrested, and a vehicle carrying 200 cartons of the liquor was seized. The case is under investigation, with additional seizures reported last week.

A significant bust on illegal liquor smuggling was made by local police, intercepting a consignment worth Rs 10 lakh headed to Bihar via the river.
Officials reported the arrest of one person, Sonu Baheliya, and the seizure of a Mahindra Bolero carrying 200 cartons of English liquor totaling 1,728 litres.
Legal actions have been initiated under the Excise Act; this follows a previous seizure of Rs 25 lakh worth of liquor intended for Bihar involving two more smugglers.
