A large-scale search operation is ongoing in Kathua district's forested region to locate terrorists believed to have infiltrated the area. Initiated three days ago, the operation is spearheaded by Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat.
This pursuit began after a tense encounter with the terrorists took place Sunday evening, leading security forces to cordon off the area. Today, speculative gunfire was heard as troops suspected suspicious movement. Despite the commotion, no injuries have been reported among security personnel.
The operation is bolstered by drones and army helicopters scouring the area, while villagers have extended their support by organizing a community kitchen. Villagers recount harrowing encounters with armed terrorists, adding urgency to the continuing manhunt.
