In a tragic incident, three children are feared to have drowned in the Garra river, local authorities reported on Tuesday.

Police and divers mounted a significant rescue effort, but the children remain unaccounted for as hopes begin to fade. The incident took place when four children, who were grazing goats near the riverbank, decided to take a dip. Amidst the fun, Shahrukh, aged 12, Shoaib, aged 14, and Akhlaq, aged 11, got entangled in the river's depths and began to drown.

Shahrukh's brother, Zeeshan, was an eyewitness to the tragic event and promptly alerted family and authorities. The local police, flood response units, and an emergency team from Lucknow have been mobilized in the ongoing search operation.
