The Delhi Police announced ongoing inquiries into ex-RAW agent Vikash Yadav, accused of kidnapping and extortion involving a Delhi businessman. The case, under the scrutiny of special judge Sumit Dass, hinges on unexamined call records.
Additionally, Yadav faces serious allegations of targeting alleged Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun in the US. Despite these charges, Yadav was granted bail and excused from attending court personally citing privacy invasion risks.
He was apprehended in December 2023, and a chargesheet surfaced in March 2024. Yadav contests these claims, suggesting they are unjust and jeopardizing his safety. He argues for remote hearings, claiming electronic surveillance risks.
