A Delhi court concluded a corruption case against former Indian Olympic Association chief Narinder Dhruv Batra and others on Monday, finding no wrongdoing after reviewing the CBI's closure report.
The investigation, which spanned over two years, focused on alleged unauthorized renovation expenses at Batra's office within the IOA Bhawan. Despite initial findings suggesting possible criminal conspiracy, the CBI reported insufficient evidence to charge Batra or his associates.
Special judge Mukesh Kumar emphasized his satisfaction with the thorough probe and noted the complainant's acceptance of the report. Batra had earlier resigned from his post following legal challenges.
