The Palghar police have announced the impending attachment of properties belonging to Avinash Dhodi, the primary suspect in the murder case of Shiv Sena leader Ashok Dhodi. This development was confirmed on Monday by senior officials as efforts to bring Avinash, who remains on the run, intensified.
Ashok Dhodi was reported missing on January 20, with his lifeless body later found in a submerged vehicle in a Gujarat quarry. Law enforcement zeroed in on the site after weeks of investigation. Subsequently, police identified seven individuals linked to the crime, and four have been detained. However, Avinash and two others continue to evade capture.
Amidst growing concerns over the sluggish pace of the case, Ashok's son, Akash Dhodi, has called for a CID probe. He alleges that police ignored earlier complaints made by his father about Avinash's illicit activities, such as bootlegging.
