In a tragic incident on Sunday night, Manish Prajapati, a 20-year-old resident of Gokulpur village in Meerut, was shot dead during a heated argument rooted in an old rivalry. Meerut police reported that the situation escalated when a group of men on motorcycles approached Manish while he was preparing for his birthday celebrations with his family.

The confrontation quickly turned violent, leading to Manish being fatally shot. Despite efforts to rush him to a nearby hospital, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival. Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Rakesh Kumar Mishra confirmed that a forensic team and local police scoured the crime scene for evidence, and an FIR was filed based on the family's complaint.

Kuldeep Singh, the Bhavanpur Station House Officer, revealed that the feud traced back to a prior clash between the families in the Medical Police Station area. An attempted murder case was previously filed against Manish, leading to his temporary incarceration. Authorities are intensively searching for the named suspects as the post-mortem examination proceeds.
