On Monday, Russia's defense ministry disclosed that Ukraine attempted a drone strike on the Kropotkinskaya pumping station, part of the CPC pipeline network in the Krasnodar region. The attempted attack was thwarted by Russian anti-aircraft units.
Officials reported that the drone was successfully downed, crashing roughly 7 kilometers away from the target, in proximity to the Kavkazskaya railway station. This marks the second assault on the site this year.
In February, the Kropotkinskaya station sustained damage from an attack which resulted in it being taken offline for repairs. Restoration work on the station is reportedly still ongoing.
