A senior Army officer in Meghalaya has reportedly been accused of sexually harassing the wife of a junior colleague, according to officials.
SP Vivek Syiem from East Khasi Hills district confirmed the investigation into the Brigadier rank officer alleged to have committed the offense last Sunday evening at the Officers' mess.
An FIR citing sections 75(2), 79, and 351 of the BNS has been lodged at Shillong's Madanrting police station. While the inquiry progresses, no arrests have been made, and a dedicated police officer has been assigned to lead the investigation.
