Russia Thwarts Large-Scale Drone Assault in Krasnodar
Russian defense units intercepted 83 Ukrainian drones in the Krasnodar region, causing damage to several houses including in Tuapse. Although 128 drones were reportedly downed, there were no injuries reported. The attack targeted the strategic Black Sea port of Tuapse, home to a vital oil refinery.

In a significant overnight operation, Russian defense forces successfully intercepted 83 Ukrainian drones over the country's southern Krasnodar region, according to Russian officials who provided the update on Wednesday. This defensive maneuver, however, resulted in damaged residential buildings, including some in the strategic Black Sea port city of Tuapse.
The Russian defense ministry disclosed that a total of 128 drones had been neutralized over Russian territory. Krasnodar's Governor Veniamin Kondratyev took to Telegram to inform the public about the damage to three residential homes while confirming no immediate injuries. The critical air defense efforts reportedly persisted beyond the detection of the drones.
Tuapse, a crucial location housing Russia's largest oil refinery on the Black Sea, has frequently been the target of Ukrainian drones since the inception of the ongoing conflict. In response to potential threats, Russia's aviation authority, Rosaviatsia, announced the temporary closure of Sochi's international airport to safeguard air traffic. No official remarks have been made from Ukraine regarding the events.
