Arrest in Shocking Exploitation Case Sparks Protests

A 50-year-old man was arrested in Uttar Pradesh after being accused of sexually exploiting a teenage boy, according to police reports.
The suspect, Mumtaz Hasan Khan, allegedly enticed the 14-year-old, from a different community, to his home, where the assault occurred. He fled when the victim's uncle arrived, said Additional Superintendent of Police (City), Sanjay Kumar Sagar.
The case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. It followed a protest by the Hindu Jagran Manch, which demanded swift legal action against the accused.
