Jammu Police's Massive Crackdown on Drug Syndicates Yields Major Arrests and Seizures

In a significant crackdown, Jammu Police have successfully arrested 300 individuals linked to drug peddling in 2024, officials reported. The arrests were part of 200 registered cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, showcasing the authorities' committed efforts to combat the drug menace.
Among the assets seized during this operation, 11 properties owned by smugglers, valued at over Rs 4.69 crore, were attached. The police also confiscated 83 vehicles involved in drug trafficking cases, indicating a targeted approach to dismantling the operational capabilities of these rings.
The district's most significant achievement was the recovery of 43 kg of heroin, a haul worth several hundred crores in the black market. This operation highlights the police's relentless pursuit to eliminate drug cartels, with added support from civil administration and community members in demolishing four notorious drug hotspots.
