A mob attacked a facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh over plans to incinerate waste from the Bhopal gas tragedy, according to police officials.
Inspector Om Prakash Ahir stated that a group of 100-150 individuals threw stones at the facility gate. Investigations are currently underway to identify those responsible and initiate legal actions.
Following prior protests led by around 500-600 people, local authorities enforced prohibitory orders to maintain peace near the waste disposal site, to prevent potential safety risks.
