Daring Gold Smuggling Bust at Airport!

Two young men from Manipur have been arrested for attempting to smuggle gold valued at Rs 1.34 crore at an international airport. The gold, weighing 1.8 kg, was concealed as chemical paste. The pair were intercepted after arriving from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

In a significant bust by customs authorities, two men from Manipur were apprehended at an international airport for allegedly attempting to smuggle gold worth Rs 1.34 crore into the country.

The suspects, both around 19 years of age, were detained upon their arrival from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The gold, weighing 1.8 kg, was ingeniously disguised as a chemical paste and hidden in their rectum, authorities confirmed. Both individuals were subsequently arrested.
