Murder Shocks West Bengal: TMC Councillor Dulal Sarkar Killed

Dulal Sarkar, a councillor for the Trinamool Congress, was fatally shot in West Bengal's Malda district, according to police reports. The incident occurred on Thursday morning when unidentified assailants on motorcycles attacked Sarkar in the Jhaljhalia More area.
In the aftermath of the attack, Sarkar was transported to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries. Law enforcement has launched an investigation, with a senior police official stating that efforts are underway to identify those responsible for the murder.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has condemned the murder, expressing her grief and shock. She criticized the apparent negligence of local police authorities and called for accountability. Meanwhile, police have detained two individuals suspected of being involved in the crime.
