An alarming incident occurred on Wednesday night involving Kasta BJP MLA Saurabh Singh, who confronted three individuals for publicly drinking in Shiv Colony. Authorities report that when Singh objected, the suspects not only misbehaved but also threatened him and his wife before firing shots into the air.
The situation prompted immediate police intervention, with Police Circle Officer Ramesh Tripathi and Kotwali Inspector Ambar Singh visiting Singh's residence to gather more details. The suspects quickly fled the scene, eliciting a robust search and interrogation initiative by law enforcement.
On Thursday, Tripathi confirmed the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) based on Singh's complaint. The detained suspects are currently under investigation as the police seek to piece together the circumstances surrounding the dangerous encounter.
