Key Promotions: Tojo Karga and Colleagues Rise in Police Ranks

Senior IPS officer Tojo Karga has been promoted to Inspector General of Police within the AGMUT cadre. Alongside him, Tumme Amo and Apang Tamut have been promoted to Deputy Inspector General of Police. In a significant move within the AGMUT cadre, Senior IPS officer Tojo Karga has been promoted to the rank of Inspector General of Police (IGP), according to an official notification released.

Karga, along with two other officers, Tumme Amo and Apang Tamut, who are both from the 2011 batch, will see their promotions reflected from January 1, 2025. Amo and Tamut have been elevated to the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) rank.

The promotions, announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs, are part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at bolstering leadership ranks within the AGMUT cadre to improve operational efficiency and governance.
