In a tragic turn of events, a 30-year-old man named Shahedeen, accused of cow slaughter, succumbed to injuries after being brutally attacked by a mob on December 30 in Moradabad. Despite prior health issues, the assault aggravated his condition, leading to his untimely death in the hospital the following night.
The incident occurred in the Manjhola Mandi Samiti Parisar, where a crowd, fueled by suspicion, beat Shahedeen mercilessly before handing him over to authorities. Despite medical intervention, his deteriorating health condition could not be stabilized, resulting in his demise.
An FIR has been lodged against unknown participants in the assault, charging them with murder. As investigations continue, former Member of Parliament S T Hasan condemned the incident, emphasizing that justice must prevail in holding the perpetrators accountable for the unlawful actions leading to Shahedeen's death.
