A tragic shooting unfolded in the western city of Cetinje, Montenegro, claiming at least 10 lives, including those of two children, as announced by Montenegro's Interior Minister at a press briefing.
The perpetrator, identified by initials A.M., opened fire in a local bar before escaping. The police have deployed special forces to capture him. Initial reports revealed him as 45-year-old Aco Martinovic, known for erratic behavior and having a past of weapon possession.
In response to the devastating event, President Jakov Milatovic expressed his shock, while Prime Minister Milojko Spajic visited the hospital treating the wounded and declared a three-day mourning period. Montenegro, with a strong gun culture, faces another blow, as another similar incident occurred in Cetinje in 2022.
