Currently the Additional Foreign Secretary for Europe, Shafqat Ali Khan has previously served the nation as an ambassador to both Russia and Poland. His appointment is a testament to his vast diplomatic experience, which is expected to serve Pakistan well on the global stage.
He assumes the position from Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, who has held the spokesperson role since November 2022. Reports suggest that Baloch is likely to be appointed as the ambassador to France in the coming months.
