The Maharashtra Cyber department is intensifying its investigation into a manipulated video of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's speech on Naxalism. The primary suspect, Padmakar Ambolkar from Worli, Mumbai, was identified as the initial distributor of the video on a popular messaging platform, according to officials.

The case, which has already seen the registration of complaints against 12 unidentified social media users, gained momentum when forensic examination of Varad Tukaram Kanki's mobile device revealed its content. Kanki, another resident of Worli, had been interrogated previously for his alleged involvement in spreading the erroneous video.

Authorities are actively working to pinpoint additional perpetrators linked to the digital dissemination. The Maharashtra Cyber division, operating under the state home department, is committed to tracing the full distribution chain and ensuring those disrupting public order face due repercussions.
