In a decisive operation, Delhi Police have successfully deported 11 Bangladeshi nationals who were found residing illegally in the capital. The proactive move occurred during a raid at Mahipalpur in southwest Delhi, uncovering a group without valid documentation.
The individuals, aged between 21 and 48, originated from various districts in Bangladesh, including Cumilla, Gazipur, Dhaka, and Sunamganj. These foreign nationals had initially entered India on tourist visas but chose to overstay beyond the permitted duration.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest), Surendra Choudhary, confirmed that the group's illegal status was discovered due to expired visas. Following their detainment, they were transferred to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for deportation back to Bangladesh.
