Syria and Egypt Unite for Regional Peace

On Tuesday, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shiban shared on social media that he received a phone call from his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty. During the call, they discussed the crucial roles both nations play in enhancing peace across the region.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry issued a statement asserting Egypt's support for the Syrian people's legitimate aspirations. Abdelatty emphasized the necessity for safeguarding Syria's national institutions, unity, and sovereignty, urging a political process that inclusively involves all Syrian national parties.
The two ministers agreed to maintain communication going forward.
