Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered that financial aids under several welfare schemes, including the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana, be directly transferred to beneficiaries' bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to prevent delays in assistance.

In a meeting reviewing the Social Justice Department's progress, Fadnavis insisted on updating welfare scheme regulations to encompass a broader beneficiary base and directed repairs for government hostels to ensure student welfare.

The Chief Minister also pushed for the digitalization of the hostel admission and caste verification processes and announced the forthcoming Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana portal alongside standardized SOPs for department corporations.
