Fadnavis Streamlines Welfare Aid: Direct Transfers Initiated
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has directed immediate Direct Benefit Transfers of financial aid under schemes like Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana to beneficiaries' bank accounts. This move aims to eliminate delays in assistance delivery. Fadnavis also emphasized updating welfare scheme rules and improving hostel facilities and administrative processes.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered that financial aids under several welfare schemes, including the Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana, be directly transferred to beneficiaries' bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to prevent delays in assistance.
In a meeting reviewing the Social Justice Department's progress, Fadnavis insisted on updating welfare scheme regulations to encompass a broader beneficiary base and directed repairs for government hostels to ensure student welfare.
The Chief Minister also pushed for the digitalization of the hostel admission and caste verification processes and announced the forthcoming Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana portal alongside standardized SOPs for department corporations.
